CCI has a strong record of community commitment and has long been active in the Columbus, Ohio, area in support of many worthwhile community projects.
CCI champions the placement of engineering interns on state and city contracts in order to promote
the development and recruitment of future professional engineers.
The number of graduates entering professional engineering fields has dwindled in past decades. This
loss represents a significant challenge to both the maintenance and expansion of our country's
infrastructure.
In an effort to preserve our ability to grow and to protect our public services and systems, CCI is
committed to the training and advancement of interns in the field of engineering.
CCI is a proud corporate sponsor of Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS), an international
organization that provides a mechanism to enhance the professional and personal advancement of
women, in addition to developing industry and government recognition of the increasing involvement

field. It provides state-of-the-art services to women, such as a collaborative Internet presence, a job
bank, and education and development opportunities. The ultimate goal of WTS is to reach a
minimum of 50% women leaders in the transportation industry, ensuring that women are offered
appointments commensurate with their abilities.
